The Story of Sockable
Sockable Fundraising was created by fundraisers for fundraisers. But how did we get started?
As a parent of three children and a keen volunteer and coach, our Chief Sock Officer Brooke has both organized and participated in fundraisers for sports clubs and school groups for decades. She has also created, organized and coached basketball tours in Australia.
After many years of domestic tours, in 2018 the challenge was accepted to raise approximately $100,000 for the South East Storm Basketball Club's 2019 USA Tour. This was an 18-month-long fundraising effort and we tried everything, from chocolates to popcorn, movie nights to tea towels. It was during this time that we discovered fundraising with socks and Sockable Fundraising was created.
The team sold socks at hospitals, veterinary clinics and office buildings, sometimes hundreds at a time. Socks were a much-loved product that people LOVED to buy.
Fundraising has become tough over recent years, with supporters appreciating a quality product in return for donating their hard-earned funds. Our high-quality socks are a long-lasting product that can be used again and again, and often gifted to family and friends.
After five years, we're continually improving our services and processes to give you the best fundraising experience possible.
