From Sports Mum to Sock Boss

Sockable Fundraising was born from one very real problem: how do you raise serious money for kids’ teams—without burning out your whole community?

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I’ve spent decades coaching and fundraising for sports clubs and schools in Australia. I’m also a mum of three, and I know exactly how exhausting and overwhelming fundraising can be—especially when it feels like you're always asking people for something.

Back in 2018, I was leading a massive effort to raise $100,000 for our basketball club’s USA tour. We tried everything: chocolates, popcorn, movie nights, raffles, even tea towels. It was exhausting. Nothing really stuck.

Until… we tried socks.

People loved them. We sold socks at hospitals, clinics, schools, and workplaces—sometimes hundreds at a time. It was easy, fun, and most importantly, people wanted to buy. That’s when Sockable Fundraising was born.
